I am afraid that Delhi may not host Common Wealth Games in 2010, raising the bar set in Melbourne 2006. The kind of infrastructure needed, we can only dream of, unless some serious actions are implemented. The kind of bureaucracy we have, in our country, is perhaps the worst hurdle to leap over. A country which is planning to bid for Olympics in a decade, has to showcase its event staging capabilities at this scale. This is our best chance. What we need is inspiring leadership which take us across all the hurdles and stage a truly global event and showcase India and its potential in these unentered waters. Shouldn't we challenge like, Delhi will be ready by 2008 for Common Wealth Games ???

neeways i have no great hopes of that event.
we have never done well in athletics etc etc.
Crores and crores of money wil be allocated but dunno whether they wil go for development or into pockets of those organisers
hi... i myself am doubtful bout delhi's ability or any of the indian cities for dat matter ,to hosta world class event....even our 12 minute promo tries to showcase the details like dance steps actors n actresses...in a stadium seating 1000s of ppl...hw on earth can so many ppl see wats goin on in the centre.....the thing is we dont hv the know how or the expertise i guess to host such an event....but i sincerely hope that it turns out to be a mega event widout any hassles...wich we indians can be proud of.........coz itll showcase us on he global stage like anything .lets all pray n give our good wishes to DELHI.we are lukin upto u DELHI...
